Lela Donelson started her career in telecom working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in the business office, a call center. She received training on all the products and services Southwestern Bell offered their business clients. Later she was promoted to marketing as a Service Consultant. She left Southwestern Bell and worked for several start up companies and a telecom consulting firm before starting her own company, AB X Telecom in 1984. ABX sold, serviced and installed Inter-Tel, and Iwatsu systems for small businesses with uner 150 lines.

Telecom continues to be an important factor in Lela’s career.  She has developed and facilitated the end user training for the Greater Houston Partnership, UTMB in Galveston, Schlanger Silver law firm in Houston and National Oilwell Varco among many others. Lela also offers consultative services to companies faced with making a decision regarding a new communications system.
