Lela Donelson started her career in telecom working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in the business office, a call center. She received training on all the products and services Southwestern Bell offered their business clients. Later she was promoted to marketing as a Service Consultant. She left Southwestern Bell and worked for several start up companies and a telecom consulting firm before starting her own company, AB X Telecom in 1984. ABX sold, serviced and installed Inter-Tel, and Iwatsu systems for small businesses with uner 150 lines.

Telecom continues to be an important factor in Lela’s career.¬† She has developed and facilitated the end user training for the Greater Houston Partnership, UTMB in Galveston, Schlanger Silver law firm in Houston and¬†National Oilwell Varco among many others. Lela also offers consultative services to companies faced with making a decision regarding a new communications system.
